You would be joining the small, fast-moving in-house engineering team. We develop EagleEye, a tool that focuses on helping our investment team to find better deals, faster. We collaborate closely with the investment team in order to solve their key problems as well as support other functions in the firm, such as the investor relations, with for example portfolio analysis.

At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:

Extending system for startup & people scoring. Enhancing our startup scoring system, to allow for more sophisticated ways of recommending startups
Enhancing architecture for crawling. Improving the maintainability & scalability of our architecture for crawling
Improving system for entity-resolution. Increasing the accuracy & scalability of our entity-resolution system

Our core stack includes Python and PostgreSQL. We work in Google Cloud Platform, making use of services like Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.

What we hope you bring to the role:

Your have a user-centric mindset to solving engineering problems
You have 3-5 years of experience working in a data- or backend oriented software engineering position
You are proficient in SQL
You are proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, C++, or Python (Experience with Python is preferred but not required)
Work experience within a agile, startup-like environment is preferred but not required
Relevant work authorization for the country you intend to work in
